The Barrington Hills Polo Club offers a rare opportunity to experience polo year-round, with both grass and arena play in one of the most vibrant polo communities in the country. As the only club in the Chicagoland area with a nationally recognized polo school led by USPA-rated players, BHPC is the premier destination to learn, play, and grow in the sport.
At our core, we believe in polo among friends—a welcoming, inclusive environment built around a shared passion for horses, competition, and community. Whether you’re brand new or an experienced player, you’ll find a place here.

Facilities & Locations
BHPC provides exceptional facilities designed to support year-round play and player development:
Regulation grass polo field in Barrington Hills (member access by invitation)
USPA regulation 300' × 150' outdoor arena at Lakewood Stables (Wauconda, IL)
200' × 60' indoor arena for all-season training and play
Lakewood Stables offers full-service boarding, expert care, turnout, and direct access to miles of scenic forest preserve trails. Additional riding instruction, including hunt seat and equitation, is also available.
Visiting Players
Traveling through the Chicagoland area? Join us. BHPC regularly hosts visiting players for tournaments, practices, and club chukkers.
We’re happy to coordinate everything from a casual hit to a competitive match—grass or arena, beginner through 4-goal.
