Your Instructors
John Rosene: John first played polo in 1964 at Onwentsia Polo Club in Lake Forest, Illinois. After a 20-plus year hiatus, he returned to polo at what is now the Barrington Hills Polo Club. John served as club president from 1990 to 2015 and he founded the club's recognized Polo School. He's taught polo to hundreds of Chicago area beginners including Joan Brugue and Megan West-Koll who now are the school's lead instructors. John holds the honorary title of Chairman Emeritus.
Megan West-Koll: Megan was first introduced to polo at Purdue University in 2007. She joined the Barrington Hills Polo Club in 2008 and has since taught lessons both at Purdue and in the Chicago area. Aside from her involvement as a BHPC Polo School instructor, Megan also serves as USPA delegate and the club's equine welfare representative to the United States Polo Association, as well as sits on the USPA’s board of governors representing the Central Circuit.
